Summer is finally here! Here is a list of activities you can do in the area with your pet.
1. Day at the beach
For those looking to cool off, some beaches in the area are open to dogs, such as the Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park, the Magog Townships Beach or Sandy Beach in Hudson. Perfect spots for a sunny day, with hiking trails nearby to extend the adventure.
2. Water excursions
Several places around Montreal offer canoe or kayak rentals where dogs are welcome. The Mille Îles River, for example, offers peaceful and beautiful excursions.
More original: the paddle board! Sup Shop in Chateauguay offers them for rent or at the Oka National Park. Ask the SUP rental companies, not all of them accept dogs on their boards.
Make sure your dog is comfortable in the water and put a life jacket on him for added safety.
