Don Minette is a charming 10-year-old cat, declawed on all 4 paws, who tragically lost her owner, with whom she had shared her entire life. This transition was very difficult for her, and her arrival at the shelter made her extremely fearful. Fortunately, her foster family was able to offer her patience and gentleness to allow her to flourish.

For the first month, she would hide under the bed, but with a lot of patience and a few adjustments (like giving her a cozy little bed under a cardboard box), she started to feel safe. Today, she has become an adorable and cute companion. She loves to be petted, to rub against us to mark her scent, and to play with different toys. 🧸 ”

For Don Minette to continue to flourish, she needs a calm environment, filled with gentleness and understanding. Her future family will have to be ready to give her time and love so that she feels fully confident.

Don Minette is currently in foster care. We start by organizing a virtual meeting with the foster family to introduce you to the animal and answer your questions. Then, if there is mutual interest, we bring the animal back to the shelter to finalize the adoption in person.
