Animal profile
Chipmunk is a reserved 4-year-old cat at first, but once he’s confident, he becomes sociable and loves to cuddle. He knows perfectly well how to make himself loved and will quickly become an endearing companion. However, he will need a period of adjustment. His future family will need to be patient and respectful of his rhythm, so that he can blossom to the full.
Chipmunk has a few specific medical needs. In particular, when he arrived at the shelter, Chipmunk had othematoma in both ears. He is currently undergoing treatment for this condition. The treatment will have to be continued at home, and it will be important to clean his ears regularly afterwards to avoid complications. He also has a heart gallop, a sign that could indicate cardiac pathology. This will need to be investigated by a vet to ensure his long-term well-being. Chipmunk will also need dental care in the coming months.
Chipmunk is a cat who, despite some health needs, will bring a lot of sweetness and tenderness to his future family. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll win you over.
Because of the health follow-up required for his well-being, Chipmunk is part of the humanitarian program, with adoption fees cut in half.
